Rena Fay Dixon, 87, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday morning, December 31, 2020 at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing & Rehab. She was born April 26, 1933 in Morgan County the daughter of Lonnie and Cora Twyford Turner. She married Franklin E. “Frank” Dixon on October 4, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 28, 2013.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty Ann (John) Heimann of East Peoria and Sherry Fay (Jim) Hayes of Jacksonville; one son, Jimmy Lee (Debbie) Dixon of Jacksonville; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Turner and Eddie (Linda) Turner both of Ashland; two sisters, Anna Mae Gentry and Thelma Pearl (Clyde) Waggener-Hazelwood both of Jacksonville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jill Kay Brown (surviving husband, Jim of Brentwood, MO) and one brother, Howard Turner.
Mrs. Dixon had worked at the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired as well as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Liter Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
A private service will be held with burial at Arcadia Cemetery. A walk thru visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Williamson Funeral Home.
