Orvil V. Badgett, 86 of Granite City, IL, died on Monday, January 11, 2021 at his daughter’s residence in Pocahontas, IL.
He was born on December 17, 1934 in Rombauer, MO to Rufus and Julia nee: Foster Badgett.
Orvil married Stella Pipkins and she preceded him in death in 2004.
The loving father and grandfather worked for General Motors for 30 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Granite City Four Square Church in Granite City, IL and he liked to watch western movies.
Orvil is survived by 3 daughters: Brenda (Larry) Hannon of Granite City, IL, Glenda Helton of Granite City, IL and Peggy (Bill) Smith of Pocahontas, IL; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 4 sisters: Pearl Gulledge of Poplar Bluff, MO, Arlene Turner of Poplar Bluff, MO, Darlene Gowen of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Linda Clark of Bowling Green, KY and a very special brother in law, Randall Pipkins of Las Vegas, NV.
Orvil is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son, Roy Badgett and 2 sisters: Ruby Blankenship and Dillie Metz.
