Carolyn A. Blasingame, 71 of Collinsville, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Carolyn was born on March 2, 1949 in Granite City; the daughter of the late Earl J. and Pearl (Arbeiter) Bunselmeyer Foy. Carolyn was a realtor working for many years at Star Realtors in Granite City and was a dedicated Registered Nurse in the Edwardsville area. She was a former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville and attended services at Hope Lutheran Church in Granite City. Carolyn made and enjoyed many memories at Paddlers Swim Club with her family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.
Carolyn is survived by and will be missed by her husband; John W. Blasingame, whom she married on June 5, 1992; sons, Jeff and Terri Blasingame of Collinsville, IL, James and Bonnie Blasingame of Collinsville, IL, John E. and Ginger Blasingame of Collinsville, IL, Lee C. Harlan IV of St. Louis, MO, Robert K, Harlan of Camdenton, MO; grandchildren, Lindsay M. and Ryan Leverett, Benton and Kristen Blasingame, Jared Blasingame, Cade Blasingame, Joshua Blasingame, Jacob and Kailey Blasingame, Brooke Blasingame, Jordan Blasingame, Brooks Poltl, Tanner Poltl; great-grandchildren, Olivia Leverett, Gracie Leverett, Tristan Hall, Marie Blasingame; brother, Robert and Mary Bunselmeyer; sister, Joan Buehrle.
In celebration of Carolyn’s life, a private family visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Walther officiating at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Burial will be at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
