Interior designer and Strangelovely proprietor Kim Tanner announced the opening of vintage furniture and design brand Strangelovely's flagship store on Delmar Avenue in Godfrey.

After serving clients for eight years in Chicago, Strangelovely's new 1,200-square-foot storefront will offer customers regular business hours and will offer vintage furniture, home decor and women’s wear on the first floor of a home built in 1850 by Captain Reily, the same builder who built and designed the home of Godfrey's founder, Benjamin Godfrey.

Years of operating within Chicago's elite market, coupled with a degree in interior design, have prepared Tanner to create an upscale, inviting space.

“After years of working in the Chicago vintage scene, I’m thrilled to be back in the area," she states. "Having the opportunity to operate from this historic property and serve my hometown community is a dream come true.”

Founded in 2012, Strangelovely offers beautiful, eclectic, hand-picked furnishings and decor, marries modern with vintage, and creates elegance and atmosphere in every type of space. Strangelovely's customers are located coast to coast and include interior designers, event designers, set designers and vintage market dealers.  More information about Strangelovely can be found at www.strangelovely.com.

The public is invited to attend Strangelovely's grand opening from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8.
