The 19th annual Vintage Voices tours will continue in the Alton Cemetery on Oct. 10-11.
The first tour will begin at noon and the last tour leaves at 2:30 p.m. Masks are required for guests, who will visit nine stops and hear from 14 decedents.
For the past 19 years, Vintage Voices has become an important cultural event in the community, with walking tours and actors in period costumes telling the story of Altonians who have shaped Alton’s history.
"We had 73 tour guests on opening day despite Saturday's gloomy weather," Committee Chairman Jody Basola said. "Sunday brought out even more people and we're looking forward to large crowds on our second weekend in the hopes to keep history alive."
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students age 6-18. Tickets can be purchased at
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ or at the event.
Alton Cemetery is at Fifth and Vine streets in Alton.
