Illinois Regional Media announces five-time Grammy nominee and Christian Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year winner Matthew West as its headline performer for the inaugural We’re Blessed concert.
The concert is set to air at 4 p.m. today (Dec. 23). The concert will be featured on radio stations, websites, and social media channels. Big Z Media of Alton is among the radio stations that have partnered to spread the message.
Each year, the We’re Blessed concert will feature community pride shown throughout each year. This year Regional Media has selected OSF Healthcare as its partner for their leadership and compassion throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The concert focuses on praising everyday community members for their support to their neighbors. The mission of the concert is to communicate the simple message of "thank you" to medical professionals, first responders, local restaurants, residents and businesses that have helped one another.
“We are honored to be a part of this special event and I know our caregivers on the frontline, as well as the critical support staff in our hospitals and medical facilities, are going to feel the love that’s shared during this concert," OSF HealthCare Western Region Chief Executive Officer Roxanna Crosser said. "At OSF HealthCare, we feel blessed to receive community support like this and want to thank everyone who is working to keep our communities healthy, safe, nourished and educated.”
During the pandemic, West has continued to host his weekly Quarantine Quiet Time from his home studio with his family, and he released two new songs that went viral: “Quarantine Life” and “Take Heart."
